Located in Johnson County, it is a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri and the second-most populous city in the Kansas City metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 173,372, growing to 195,494 by 2019. It was the home to the Sprint World Headquarters Campus until the company’s merger with T-Mobile in 2020.
